My Story
I am a photographer and film producer. Over the years, I have worked with a wide variety of people from different background and industries. Many of them have done some really amazing work and started amazing businesses. I really wanted to tell their story and to benefit others who may want to take a similar path. I decided to start the Powerhouse podcast to specifically focus on telling the journey, challenges, and triumphs of successful women.
A little bit more about myself. I specialize in portraiture and natural lifestyle photography. My photography style is versatile, spontaneous, and captures the energy of that moment. My aesthetics sense and appreciation comes from extensive travel and exposure to different cultures throughout her life. I'm originally from Hong Kong, was born in Japan, and also lived in London, Bangkok, and New York City.
I also co-founded Random Art Workshop Media with my husband Derek Ting. RAW Media is a strategic global media company engaged in multiple aspects of content production for movies, brands, and corporates, in both traditional and new media.
I was previously a director of Risk Management for a top financial services company in New York and Hong Kong before leaving the corporate job to pursue my passion in photography in 2009, and has not looked back since. I have a Masters and BS in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.
Follow your passion, take calculated risks, and don't wait to be 100% certain to do something.
